Ardra

Ardra means moist, and its symbol is a teardrop. Rudra, its deity, is the storm before it is anything else. The tradition does not soften this division and neither should a reading: it is the place where something is broken open, and where the clarity that follows is genuine but arrives only after the disruption, never instead of it.

Rahu rules it, which is why Ardra so often shows up in charts of people who think against their own inheritance. There is real intellectual force here and real restlessness. Read practically, the pattern to watch is the tendency to dismantle something before there is anything to replace it with, and the corrective is not caution. It is the habit of building the next thing before demolishing the current one.
