The name means return, or good again, and that is precisely the quality. Punarvasu is the division of recovery: the thing that comes back after it has been lost, the second attempt that works. Aditi, its deity, is the boundless mother, and Jupiter rules it, so the recovery is read as generous rather than grudging.
The strength is resilience, and it is real. The corresponding weakness is that people with weight here can be slow to treat a loss as final, and will return to something several times past the point where returning helps. The practical question is not whether they can start again, which they always can. It is whether they can tell the difference between a setback and a verdict.
