Chitra means brilliant, and its deity is Vishwakarma, the architect who builds the worlds. The division is about design: not decoration, but the imposition of form on material, and the pleasure of having made something that is both correct and beautiful. Mars rules it, so the making has force behind it.
The strength is unmistakable and so is the trap. A jewel is made to be looked at, and Chitra carries a real susceptibility to the surface of things, in oneself as much as in the work. The reading worth giving is not that appearance is unimportant, which would be false here. It is that the person should check, periodically, whether the thing they built actually works or merely looks as though it does.
