Hasta is the hand, and every reading of it follows from that: skill, craft, dexterity, and the particular satisfaction of making something exact. Savitr is the deity, the sun as the one who impels, so the skill is not passive talent but applied effort repeated until it becomes reliable.
The Moon rules it, which adds sensitivity to the precision and explains why Hasta is so often found in charts of people who work with their hands and mind the details other people miss. The difficulty is scale. Fine work does not multiply easily, and someone with strength here can spend a career perfecting things that were already good enough, while the larger question of what to build goes unasked.
