Where the previous division is pleasure, this one is the contract that follows it. Aryaman is the deity of patronage and of the bonds that hold a society together, and the back legs of the bed are the part that bears weight. Uttara Phalguni is about what is promised and then honoured after the initial warmth has cooled.
The Sun rules it, so there is genuine steadiness here and a tendency towards formal, dependable arrangements rather than improvised ones. The difficulty is rigidity. Someone with strength in this division will keep an agreement long past the point where it has stopped serving anyone, because breaking it feels like a failure of character rather than a reasonable revision.
