Nakshatras / Uttara Bhadrapada

Uttara Bhadrapada

उत्तर भाद्रपद

The 26th of the twenty-seven nakshatras, spanning 3°20′ Pisces – 16°40′ Pisces.

Span
3°20′ Pisces – 16°40′ Pisces
Ruling graha
Saturn
Deity
Ahir Budhnya
Symbol
the serpent of the deep
Gana
Manushya

Where the previous division burns, this one settles. Ahir Budhnya is the serpent that lies in the depths, and the quality is stillness rather than action: the reservoir, the thing that has been held long enough to become calm. Saturn rules it, and Saturn here is at its most patient rather than its most punishing.

This is the division most associated with genuine depth of understanding, arrived at slowly and not much displayed. The difficulty is inertia. Depth is real but it does not, by itself, produce anything, and someone with weight here can spend years knowing a great deal and building nothing with it. The single most useful discipline is a deadline imposed from outside.

Written for study, not prediction. A nakshatra describes a texture, not a fate, and nothing on this page should be read as a forecast of events.
